Google stopping support for old browsers

If you are still reluctant to throw away your old browsers, Google is coming with a sad news for you. Google Applications will support only modern browsers starting from August 1st. The browsers in Google's hit list are  FireFox 3.5,  Internet Explorer 7,  Safari 3 and their ancestors.
According to Google, the reasons behind the decision are
1.These old browsers have issues while working with certain features of Google applications like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Docs and Google Sites.
2.Old browsers don't have the capabilities to support the latest features like desktop notifications for Gmail and drag-and-drop file upload in Google Docs etc.
3.Only latest browsers have the ability to support HTML5, which together provide high quality experience.
4. Security loop holes in old browsers

Google has said it well - "As the world moves more to the web, these new browsers are more than just a modern convenience, they are a necessity for what the future holds". Google will continue to support up to three of the most recent browser versions on a rolling basis for Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari. Whenever a new version is released, support for the third-oldest version will be dropped. According to statcounter, around 16 - 19% of the total Internet users will be affected by  Google's decision. This is a disturbing news for Microsoft also as around 16% of the total IE users are still using IE6.
So, make sure that the browsers you are using are the latest versions released. You can download the latest released versions of the following browsers using below links.
